Because of the rapid rate of growth in Asia and the disruption from the advancement of technology, the needs of the regional work force are rapidly evolving. Asia has historically been biased towards specialists and professionals with specific industry and domain expertise. However, the skills sets needed for the future are not so clear; as such, the generalist is finding traction in the market. MBAs are filling this market need for generalists and are outperforming in Asia relative in other parts of the world. COVID-19 will accelerate this trend in Asia.
Dr. Sean O. Ferguson will share findings from his research on Asia Pacific employer perspectives on employability and MBAs to illuminate what is driving the trend.
