Event Details
Following the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong/Shanghai Co-operation Conference mechanism in 2023, AmCham Hong Kong will have a trade mission to Shanghai from May 16-17. Organized by the China Business Committee, delegates will have guided tours of Chinese and American enterprises, access to Shanghai government officials, and the opportunity to network with fellow delegates and local trade associations.
Trip Objectives
- To understand Shanghai's latest business environment, local business practices, and government policy to attract foreign direct investment
- To learn from U.S. enterprises in Shanghai their business experience in operation and supply chain
- To assess the business viability of Shanghai vs. Hong Kong
- To enable delegates establish or expand international business, trade and export opportunities and activities in Shanghai
- To help create networks between AmCham HK member companies with potential business partners, strategic allies, agents, and key government contacts

Preliminary Itinerary
Accommodation
The designated hotel will be The Portman Ritz-Carlton Shanghai. Delegates will make reservations and settle payments on their own. The reservation link will be provided once participation is confirmed.
Flight to Shanghai
Delegates are advised to arrive Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on May 15 noontime for the private tour to Starbucks Coffee Innovation Park in the afternoon.

Remarks
- A detailed itinerary will be available in early / mid May.
- Delegates are advised to arrive in Shanghai in the morning on May 15.
- You will not be required to make payment until the delegation is formed.
- Upon confirmation of the delegation, participants are required to complete the payment of the delegation fee before April 30 to secure your seat. 50% of the administration fee paid will be charged as handling fee for cancellation on or before May 10. No refund for cancellation after May 10 or no-show.
