Please join us in this panel discussion that explores the link between sports and the business world. In particular, we will discuss how we can apply lessons learned from the athletic field to raising our game in the corporate world and furthering our careers.

On this evening, several highly accomplished women and men senior executives and athletes in Hong Kong, will be sharing their perspectives and personal stories of how participating in sports contributes to their business success.

First 15-20 minutes is for networking

Tobey is Group Head of Tax for CLSA, a Hong Kong-based global investment bank. She is responsible for all tax matters from a corporate and financial products perspective across Asia, the US and the UK. Her proven track record includes successful completion of tax planning transactions and restructurings in Asia and the US, implementation of firm-wide tax risk mitigation policies and processes, and managing a diverse team across eleven countries. She is experienced with interfacing with high-level executives and advisors across different regions and functions in the planning, strategy, and implementation of complex corporate projects and business transactions. Prior to joining CLSA in 2016, Tobey was the Asia Head of Tax for Citigroup.

Originally from the US, Tobey has been living in Hong Kong for almost 10 years with her husband, son (age 18) and two daughters (ages 16 and 11). She is a tax lawyer with a degree in accounting, and has a passion for mentoring, holistic medicine and fitness. Tobey’s commitment to developing people has been demonstrated through her involvement in both The Women’s Foundation and company-sponsored mentoring programs as a mentor. On fitness and health, she was featured in the South China Morning Post as a working mom who is committed to a healthy lifestyle for her and her family. She is also very excited about her new advisory role to WISE HK as she is committed to empowering all women and girls.

Kim is a Partner and co-head of the employment department at Hong Kong law firm Tanner De Witt and currently sits on the Board of the HKRU as Director of Women’s Rugby.

Having been admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 1997, Kim moved to Hong Kong in 2000 where she learnt to play rugby. She has been actively involved in the rugby community since then and represented Hong Kong twice internationally. She was the Chairwoman of Valley RFC from 2012 to 2014 and has been a member of the HKRU Disciplinary Panel since 2007, the ARFU Judicial Panel since 2011 and the World Rugby Judicial Panel since 2013.

As a Partner at Hong Kong law firm Tanner De Witt Kim regularly advises employers and employees on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in High Court actions involving enforcement of restrictive covenants and claims for injunctive relief in Hong Kong.

Kim is consistently ranked as a Leading Lawyer for employment law in Hong Kong by various leading publications including Chambers Asia and Asia Pacific Legal 500. Kim is listed as a Leading Lawyer for Labour & Employment in the 2018 Edition of Asialaw Leading Lawyers.

Camille is a Hong Kong Olympic Swimmer. She just recently returned from her second Asian Games bringing home 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. Camille continues to train full time as she aims for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. When she is not training, she spends her time working on her master’s degree in Industrial Organisational Psychology, applying and translating her athletic experiences in organizational settings. Camille is passionate about incorporating her background in swimming and psychology to promote physical and mental wellness and empower those around her.
