Event Details
Following the Central Government's announcement to allow eligible non-Chinese Hong Kong permanent residents to apply for the "Home Return Permit," AmCham will organize a business delegation to Guangzhou and Dongguan from October 14-16. Organized by the China Business Committee, Chamber delegates will have a guided tour to the Fall edition of the Canton Trade Fair (phase 1 to learn about China's advanced manufacturing), meet with Guangdong government officials to understand the government's policies to attract investors, the innovation economy and to explore the potential business opportunities it could bring to international businesses. In addition, there will be industry visits on this trip.
Trip Objectives

- To learn about the innovation economy in the GBA and potential business opportunities for international companies
- To learn from local enterprises' experience in operation and supply chain
- To meet potential suppliers or know the latest smart manufacturing products by attending a major trade event

- Guangdong Governor and Director General of Department of Commerce of Guangdong
- Canton Fair (Phase 1: household electrical appliances, consumer electronics, smart manufacturing, hardware tools etc)
- Xpeng, a Chinese leading smart EV manufacturer
- TTI's (a world leading power tools manufacturer) Asia Industrial Park in Dongguan
- Guangzhou International Bio Island, an incubation zone focuses on the development of bio-medical industry

Accommodation
The designated hotel is LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou. Delegates are entitled to a special rate of RMB 1,300 per night (inclusive of tax and max 2 breakfast); delegates will make reservations and settle payments on their own.

Remarks
- A detailed itinerary will be available in early October
- Delegates are advised to arrive in Guangzhou on Oct 14.
- Delegates attending the Canton Fair are required to apply for a "buyer badge." Registration link will be available in September.
- You will not be required to make payment until the delegation is formed.
- You are required to arrange for your own visa to travel to Mainland, China
- Upon confirmation of the delegation, participants are required to complete the payment of the delegation fee before September 20 to secure your seat. 50% of the administration fee paid will be charged as handling fee for cancellation on or before September 20. No refund for cancellation after that date or no-show.
