In September, 2013, the world's top climate scientists in the latest United Nations assessment of climate science drew an unequivical link between human activity and climate change. A recent Hong Kong government funded study revealed that the financial services sector is amongst the most vulnerable sectors to climate change in Hong Kong.
To date, the global insurance industry has, in most of the developed world, funded extreme weather events and the financial cost of other types of natural catastrophes.
Mr. Clarence Yeung, Group Chief Operating Officer of ACR Capital Holdings will discuss the impact of natural catastrophes to the insurance industry; Mr. James Maguire, Regional Managing Director, Aon Risk Solutions, will discuss initiatives within the insurance industry to support accelerated investment in renewable energy.
