Buildings use approximately 90% of the electricity consumed in Hong Kong, accounting for around 60% of our Greenhouse Gas emissions. As a major property owner and manager of buildings in Hong Kong, Swire Properties has been at the forefront of the drive to save energy and improve environmental performance.
Taking a strategic long-term approach, working with tenants and new technologies together with investing for the long term has enabled Cary and his team to demonstrate very significant savings in energy consumption at many of their properties in Hong Kong.
In this talk, Cary will share the Swire experience and look at how Hong Kong can build a brighter, greener future for its buildings.
