Brian W Tang ( 陳華利 ) is managing director and founder of Asia Capital Markets Institute (ACMI www.asiacmi.com ). He is a corporate finance and capital markets lawyer with nearly 20 years of experience in Hong Kong, New York, Silicon Valley and Australia.
As an award-winning investment banking counsel at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong until 2013, Brian has advised on some of the largest and most cutting-edge equity, debt and M&A transactions across the Asia-Pacific region. He has also led inter-disciplinary teams on strategic transactions (such as establishing the bank’s Chinese investment banking joint venture) and was chairman of Credit Suisse’s Hong Kong Charity Committee.
Prior to that, Brian was at Wall Street law firm Sullivan & Cromwell in New York (working in Silicon Valley during the dotcom boom), as well as Mallesons in Perth, Australia.
A frequently invited speaker internationally who has taught MBA classes at Yale SOM and HKUST and has published articles on capital markets and corporate governance, Brian graduated with an LLM from NYU and a BA/LLB (hons) from UWA.
