The Apparel, Footwear and Supply Chain Committee invites you to a panel discussion event focusing on "Garment 2 Garment" Circularity and Sustainability. Edwin Keh, CEO of The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) and Ronna Chao from Novetex, as well as JP Stevenson from Cobalt Knitwear/Li and Fung as the moderator will share insights on challenges from a Circularity startup and business model, including a logistics/infrastructure perspective, material sourcing and recycling.
The panel will explore:
- What is the business model between HKRITA and Novetex?
- What has been the journey/evolution of this partnership?
- What have been some of the challenges/difficulties when setting up this business model?
- Insights into what you think it would take to commercialise this business model?
- What would it take to make this business model scalable, from technological, infrastructure, communications and localisation (implementing in different markets) perspectives?
- How does this revive the apparel business in Hong Kong? Does HK become the hub for the circular ecosystem landscape of smart recycling futures?
