Stephanie Cheung's career journey of more than 20 years has spanned a variety of industries across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. These include fixed-income and hedge funds investing; luxury retail merchandising; commercial real estate and business development in unicorn startups and NYSE-listed FinTech companies.
In her former finance career, Stephanie was the lead credit analyst and portfolio manager of over US$2.6 billion of US & European Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) and Commercial Real Estate Collateralized Debt Obligations (CRE CDOs) for TCW, under the legendary "King of Bonds" Jeffrey Gundlach (now the CEO of DoubleLine Capital). Prior to that, she worked for CBRE Investors, investing in US commercial real estate on behalf of public pension funds and insurance companies.
Stephanie discovered her passion in luxury retail, and in 2010, made a radical shift in her career from managing financial investments to managing retail businesses. Stephanie started her career transformation at Tiffany's Global Merchandising, then Coach, working as a Senior Manager for Asia ex-Japan, including Greater China.
With Stephanie's prior experience in finance and consumer juxtapose with her strong interest in technology and early-stage startups, she joined naked Hub in 2017, which was subsequently acquired by WeWork, as the first Community Head of Hong Kong. She then moved to WeWork’s Enterprise Team in Business Development and Sales focusing on creating global workplace solutions.
In Stephanie’s most recent role, she migrated to the FinTech world as Vice President of Strategic Account Management of NYSE-listed Enfusion, covering hedge funds, family offices, and asset managers in APAC.
Stephanie received her MBA with distinctions from Yale School of Management and graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in business administration from the University of Southern California. She has also authored an article in the SCMP and co-authored an IMD Business School case study on agriculture financings. In her spare time, she enjoys trail running / hiking, reading all sorts of topics that intrigue her, and exploring the corners of the world. Stephanie has travelled to over 67 countries including North Korea, Iran, Bhutan, Pakistan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Cuba.
