Colin BrowneFormer COO of Under Armour (Former AFS Committee Chair)
Colin Browne was the Interim Chief Executive Officer of Under Armour, Inc. (UA) (NYSE: UAA; $5.7B Revenue), one of the world’s top sportswear brands. He also served as UA’s Chief Operating Officer and was an integral part of the company’s successful transformation, which strengthened corporate culture and restored revenue and EPS growth. Colin is credited with modernizing UA’s direct-to-consumer model and digital go-to-market strategy. The improved supply chain capabilities he implemented have enabled the company to amplify profit margins and operating efficiency despite recent global supply challenges.
Colin joined UA in 2016 and led the transformation of its sourcing, planning, global distribution, and logistics functions. He was subsequently promoted to COO, overseeing supply chain, global planning, sustainability, information technology, enterprise data management, go-to-market strategy, distribution, and corporate social responsibility. He further unlocked value by leveraging data from the company’s digital offerings, and his contributions have optimized the value chain and significantly improved bottom-line performance. In 2022 Colin was asked step in as Interim CEO, a role he fulfilled for 9 months.
A uniquely well-rounded global business leader, Colin has held CEO, COO, supply chain, brand, and international P&L management roles at several highly regarded apparel and footwear companies. Prior to joining UA, he was the Managing Director of Asia Sourcing for V.F. Corporation (NYSE: VFC; $10.9B Revenue). Over his 40 year career, Colin also spent time with Li & Fung, Pentland group, Reebok International and Bally Shoes.
In addition, Colin has served on a number of boards and associations including two terms as Chair of the America Apparel & Footwear Association. He also served as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce Apparel & Footwear Committee during his time in Hong Kong.
