Incorporating environment, social and governance (ESG) practices into corporate strategic frameworks has become increasingly important for both local and multinational businesses operating in the Asia Pacific region. New regulations and ambitious emissions reduction targets within Asia - such as those implemented in 2021 and 2022 by China, Japan, Korea, Singapore - impact companies and organizations in nearly every industry.

The key question is: how should members of corporate senior management adapt their strategies to minimize risk, seize opportunities, and take advantage of these changes?

Hosted by AmCham Hong Kong, "ESG in Asia: A Business Leadership Perspective" will feature presentations, panel discussions and workshops by corporate leaders, industry experts, and academics to help senior management tackle these issues. The conference will address:

  • How can companies address the expectations of the investment community while avoiding the risks of greenwashing?
  • What is the value of ESG ratings?
  • Are there untapped opportunities that senior corporate leadership can take advantage of?
  • What are the new regulatory risks emerging from increased interest in ESG?

The program will feature a variety of event formats to maximize the outcome of the discussion.

Remarks:

  • The conference is open to media.
