The impacts of climate change are becoming increasingly evident. Investors, regulators, and stakeholders are seeking greater transparency and understanding of how companies are managing climate-related risks and capitalizing on opportunities. Climate-related disclosures provide crucial information that enables investors to make informed decisions, facilitates effective risk management, and encourages responsible business practices.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), as the securities exchange operator for Hong Kong, has taken significant strides to foster a financial ecosystem that integrates environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations. Through its enhanced climate-related disclosure requirements, HKEX is aligning with global best practices, such as the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework and International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) S1 and S2 requirements. The enhancements are designed to improve transparency, facilitate better decision-making, and ultimately drive positive change in the business landscape.

All listed companies are required to undertake a comprehensive assessment of climate-related risks, opportunities, and strategies, to enhance their risk management practices, build resilience, and drive sustainable growth, and make corresponding disclosures. We have the privilege to invite Ms. Kelly Lee, Senior Vice President, Policy and Secretariat Services of Listing Division at HKEX to share about the benefits of enhanced climate-related disclosures, how to better manage climate-related risks, and capitalize on opportunities for a brighter and more sustainable Hong Kong.

Following Ms. Lee's sharing, you will have the opportunity to speak to subject matter experts to share best practices. Seats are limited, please RSVP as soon as possible!

*Light breakfast will be provided.
