Mrs. Priyanka Chauhan Consul General at Consulate General of India, Hong Kong Mrs. Priyanka Chauhan joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2004. As a career diplomat, she has served in the Embassy of India in Madrid and in various capacities in the Ministry of External Affairs handling India’s relations with the United States, Canada, Bhutan and Nepal, and as the head of the Ministry’s Finance Division. She has also served as the Deputy Head of Office of the Commonwealth Secretary-General in the Commonwealth Secretariat in London. Born in 1978, she obtained a graduate degree in Architecture from CEPT Ahmedabad followed by a brief stint practicing architecture and writing for India’s leading national newspaper, Times of India, before joining the Indian Foreign Service. While in service, she obtained a post-graduate degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from Madras University, as part of the joint civil-military training in India’s premier tri-service institution, DSSC Wellington. Mrs. Chauhan assumed charge as the Consul-General of India to Hong Kong SAR on 7 May 2019. She speaks Hindi, English, and Spanish. She is married to Mr. Gurpreet Singh, a technology entrepreneur, and they have one daughter. Her hobbies are reading, graphic design, and cooking.

Sprugel is Vice President and Managing Director, International Sourcing Operations for Academy International Limited, a subsidiary of Academy Sports and Outdoors, a US Sporting Goods and Outdoor Lifestyle Retailer based in Katy (Houston), Texas. Lynne moved to Hong Kong in January 2014 to establish the Hong Kong Sourcing Hub office for Asia operations. Prior to joining Academy, Lynne was with The Haggar Clothing Co, JCPenney Purchasing Corporation, and Radio Shack. Lynne graduated with a B.A. from Texas Christian University, BBA from Washington State University, MBA from University of Dallas. She will graduate with her Doctor of Business Administration from City University of Hong Kong in November. Lynne is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker. Lynne is a Vice Chair—Hong Kong American Chamber of Commerce-Apparel, Footwear and Supply Chain Committee and member of the Board of Directors of Americas Apparel Producers Network (AAPN). Lynne has been an Adjunct Professor at several U.S. universities.

David Chao Global Market Strategist, Asia Pacific at Invesco (Moderator) David Chao is the Global Market Strategist for Asia Pacific, responsible for developing Invesco’s view on the investment market and global economy, as well as providing strategic investment advice to financial professionals and clients in the region. He joined Invesco in 2019. David has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry across Asia Pacific and North American markets. He has built strong business and governmental networks through providing advisory services to facilitate investments throughout Greater China and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Invesco, David led the Foreign Direct Investment Advisory unit for United Overseas Bank in Hong Kong. He started his investment career in New York with Goldman Sachs, and later spent over 5 years as an equity analyst with Balyasny Asset Management and Visium Funds. David holds a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in International Political Economy from Cornell University as well as a Masters in International Affairs from the University of Hong Kong. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Trade and Investment Committee at American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
