Join us for an interactive discussion on all the difficult lessons of 2020! It is now possible to take a step back and analyze what we have done right, what we could do better, and what are the specific challenges and opportunities associated with having an extensive workforce collaborating remotely for extended periods of time. Issues of mental health, inclusivity, and community will be addressed, as well the technical challenges of maintaining a long term remote working arrangement.

M Moser has recently conducted an extensive survey on the subject, interviewing over 120 companies across 17 different industries all over APAC. They will be sharing some of this data at the event.

Dr. Thurley is the General Manager for Roche Pharmaceuticals in Hong Kong and Macau.

Reporting into the regional office for Roche in Asia, Daniel is responsible for all aspects of Research, Development and commercial operations since 2018. Previously Daniel was the General Manager for Roche Pharmaceuticals in New Zealand, and before that, for over a decade, was Medical Director in Australia, UK, Singapore and Switzerland in local, regional and global roles.

Daniel is a United Kingdom trained Consultant Physician (Cambridge University) who has also practiced clinically in several countries around the World, primarily in the field of Medical Oncology.

He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, and until 2019 was an examiner for the UK Royal College of Physicians (London). He is a Member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), President of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (HKAPI), Vice Chair of the Hong Kong British Chamber of Commerce’s Healthcare Committee, and Director of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong.

Helen Colquhoun is triple qualified in New York, England and Wales, and Hong Kong. She advises employers across a range of industries on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues such as investigations, restrictive covenants, risk management, acquisitions, restructuring, managing employee hiring and terminations, design of incentive schemes, and drafting contracts and handbooks. Helen frequently advises overseas employers on their operations in Hong Kong, including in relation to sensitive and/or C-suite terminations, secondments, dual contracts, enforcement of restrictive covenants, investigations and general HR matters. Helen also routinely oversees regional APAC projects that require advice on local law nuances, trends and approaches on a range of issues, including restructurings, policy roll outs and outsourcing arrangements. As a triple qualified employment lawyer with over 16 years' experience, Helen is well-placed to provide a single source of advice for clients who require advice in more than one jurisdiction.
