Opportunities and Risks along Energy Transition

Accelerating path to net zero has become not only commitment from major corporations but also a consensus within the financial industry. BloombergNEF reported that in 2022 alone, global investment in energy transition hit $1.1 trillion, implying a remarkable 31% growth despite economic headwinds. The APAC region, as a global economic growth engine, is poised to embrace a new wave of transition opportunities, which unavoidably come with an inherent level of risk. In this session, BNEF will share our in-house view on the global energy transition pathway, focusing on the major countries such as China, U.S, Japan, Indonesia, as well as the decarbonization opportunities in the hard-to-abate sectors of the market.
