Event Details
As a manager, you have the power and responsibility to create an inclusive and supportive workplace for all your team members, including those who identify as LGBTQ. However, being an effective ally to LGBTQ team members can be a complex and sensitive task, especially if you are not familiar with their experiences, needs, and perspectives. That's why we invite you to attend this workshop, where you will learn from a DE&I consultant, Emery Fung, through a fun interactive workshop session.
Objectives: By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Define what it means to be an LGBTQ ally and why it matters for your team and company, and understand the challenges and opportunities faced by the community
- Identify your own biases, assumptions, and knowledge gaps related to LGBTQ issues
- Learn practical strategies and tools for being a supportive and inclusive ally to your LGBTQ team members
- Create an action plan for implementing allyship practices in your daily work and team interactions
