The Trump Administration's dizzying tariff moves have profoundly reshaped the global trade landscape and essentially forced companies to question the reliability of the United States.
On 9 April, President Trump announced a 90-day pause on reciprocal tariffs for most countries, maintaining a 10% tariff on nearly all global imports while significantly increasing the tariffs on Chinese goods to 125%. However, the turning point came on 12 May, when the U.S. and China issued joint statement, initiating a 90-day pause on tariff hikes. Despite this unexpected progress, companies are aware that tariff switch could be switched on again.
