On June 14, Onward Hong Kong series comes to an end with a closing panel consisting of Allan Zeman, Jasper Tsang, Harshika Patel, James Fok and Stacey Chow (moderator) and closing keynote speech by Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Algernon Yau.
Our speakers will present their views of the opportunities and challenges to Hong Kong as it enters the next 25 years as a special administrative region of China. This Onward Hong Kong Series, which began in September 2022, had looked at this theme from different angles, from sustainability, the future generation, entrepreneurship, Hong Kong as an international financial center, to arts, culture and sports, etc.
This session will also attempt to summarize the learnings from this whole series - How do AmCham members look ahead at the road they face, and take advantage of the special characteristics of Hong Kong being an international business city sitting in China.
Limited seats, register now (this session will be followed by a finale cocktail)! |

AmCham Charitable Foundation: Grant Giving Awards Ceremony |
| |
Giving back to the community is a vital value of AmCham Charitable Foundation.
On Thursday morning, AmCham hosted the American Women's Association (AWA) Hong Kong for its Annual Tea Awards Ceremony. This is the 17th year of partnership between the AmCham Charitable Foundation and the AWA to give out grants to support charitable projects.
This year, the Foundation will support Watchdog, Justice Centre Hong Kong, Caritas Lok Yi School, and Saint Barnabas Society and Home for their charitable projects such as vocational training for students, educational programs that will empower women to learn new skills, build self-esteem and improve mental health and wellbeing, as well as scholarships for children with special educational needs from low-income families. We thank our past chairmen Rob Chipman and Gage McAfee, who are also trustees of the Charitable Foundation, for presenting the awards to the four NGO representatives.
The Foundation firmly believes that education makes a difference in the outcome of our future. As one of the leading international business chambers with over 50 years of commitment to maintaining Hong Kong’s competitiveness and stature as an international business center, it is the Foundation’s natural purpose to support tomorrow’s workforce through a series of giving programs. |
