Scott Sykes is Vice President, Head of International Media Affairs, for Huawei. In this role, he serves as company spokesman, is responsible for driving international media relations strategies and initiatives, helps manage the company’s public relations network and leads other corporate communications initiatives.

Mr. Skyes has about 20 years of experience in the public relations and communications industry. Prior to joining Huawei, Scott was Director, Media & External Relations, Asia-Pacific for Alcatel-Lucent. Previously he was Vice President, Telecommunications/Technology and Social Media Practices, Asia-Pacific for Weber Shandwick, and Manager, Global Media Relations at IBM.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Marketing, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.



Ms. Lili Zheng is specialized in advising multinational corporations (MNCs) on their inbound and outbound investments into and from the United States with a special focus on MNCs doing business in the Greater China region as well as Chinese companies investing in the U.S.  Lili is a senior international tax partner with Deloitte, with 23 years of experience in international tax planning for MNCs. Lili has worked in the Deloitte offices in San Francisco, Tokyo, Beijing, San Jose and Hong Kong.   Lili has extensive knowledge in IPO positioning, inversion structuring, establishing offshore IP holding companies, implementing cost-sharing arrangements, and advising on entry and exit strategies for cross-border investments.  Before joining AP ICE, she was also the Deputy Managing Partner of Deloitte Chinese Services Group in the United States.  Lili is the co-leader and the US Tax Managing Director of the Asia Pacific International Core of Excellence (AP ICE) which is a core group of senior tax professionals that provides international tax services to Asia Pacific based companies investing abroad as well as multinational companies investing in the region.




Tim Payne is Managing Partner of Brunswick Group in Asia. He has been with Brunswick for 19 years - based in London, then New York, before moving to Hong Kong in 2004 where he leads the firm’s business in Asia. Mr. Payne’s work bridges corporate and financial communications, crisis and issues management, with expertise in M&A, IPO and reputation communications.

Before joining Brunswick, he was a political campaign director for the UK's Liberal Democrat party, running many of their parliamentary campaigns, including securing a by-election win with the largest majority in British parliamentary history.

Mr. Payne has worked on many of Asia’s most significant transactions and corporate situations. Projects include the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s acquisition of the London Metals Exchange; Charoen Pokphand Group’s acquisition of HSBC’s stake in Ping An Insurance; CITIC Pacific's recapitalization; Gome’s proxy fight; ICBC’s privatization of ICBC (Asia); CNOOC's attempted acquisition of Unocal; Fonterra's corporate communications during the melamine in milk crisis in China. Clients include Sinopec, State Grid Corporation of China, TPG and Pacific Century Group.
