Sally Hasler

The Women's Foundation

Angelina Kwan is currently a Consultant advising on corporate governance, compliance and regulatory matters for companies in the financial services sector. She was the Chief Operating Officer for Cantor Fitzgerald in Asia and was responsible for all operating aspects of the companies’ existing businesses and future ventures. She was also with the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong where she held the positions of Director of the Supervision of Markets Division as well as Director of the Enforcement Division. Ms. Kwan has over 25 years of experience in Management, Regulation, Compliance, Audit and Internal Audit across a wide range of businesses in both Asia and the US.   She is an Honorary Adjunct Professor of Finance for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a SFC appointed Director and Fellow of the Hong Kong Securities Institute, a Director of the Securities Industry Development Corporation of Malaysia, a Director-in-Residence – Asia Pacific Region - Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance, School of Management - The University of Texas at Dallas, and serves on a number of Boards and Committees.   A Certified Public Accountant both in Hong Kong and the United States, Angelina holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting), an M.B.A. (Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws.

 

Nick Marsh joined Harvey Nash plc in 2002, a London listed global professional services firm. Nick built and ran the Executive Search business as Global Managing Director. The Executive Search business is now ranked as one of the leaders in Northern Europe and one of the top 10 in EMEA. Nick also sits on the Exco for this US$850m public company. Prior to joining Harvey Nash, he honed his expertise as European Chairman of a leading executive search firm, where he helped to develop a major market presence and successfully completed many board-level assignments. Before becoming an executive search professional, Nick worked in Africa for a chemicals business, after completing an engineering degree at Sheffield, followed by work with S.G. Warburg. In 2012, Nick relocated to Hong Kong to lead Harvey Nash’s business growth in Asia Pacific, supported by a substantial business team.   Having identified a need to enhance the role of females within senior positions across the region, Nick and his team at Harvey Nash created a joint-venture with The University of Hong Kong, Executive Education of the Faculty of Business and Economics (HKU) to launch the Women’s Directorship Programme .   Prior to his move to Asia, Nick sat on the board of Byte Night, an annual charity programme in the UK to raise money for leading children’s charity Action for Children .   He also sat on the board of Think London, the government supported body responsible for the promotion of business in London .

 

R uth Rowan is the Chief Marketing Officer for Asia, Middle East and Africa responsible for all of BT’s marketing and communications across the region.   BT is focused on the corporate, government and health markets outside of the UK and works with over 4000 organisations globally.   The marketing & communications team under Ruth is responsible for designing and delivering a successful integrated marketing plan to new business and revenue growth along with meeting customer satisfaction targets.   She also leads the global customer showcase programme responsible for 10 customer innovation centres around the World and heads the global team responsible for marketing strategy.   Previously Ruth ran marketing in the UK and the Global propositions and product marketing team for BT.   She is a mentor and coach for BT graduates and leads the BT diversity and corporate social responsibility programmes in Asia.   Ruth joined BT in January 2005 from Siebel Systems where she held several roles including Marketing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa.   She began her career in banking and has also held roles in publishing and events.   She has an honours degree in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford and holds the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma.     She works closely with the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong as well as the UK Trade and Investment team.

As a Non-Executive Director on the National Board of St. John Ambulance Australia, she is responsible for delivering an organisational strategy to create a more engaging culture for women in St. John and founded the St. John Women’s Network. Sally graduated from the University of Melbourne with a BA (Hon) in Political Science and Criminology, and gained her Masters in Public Policy from the Australian National University.
